(NY TIMES) Maker of Botox Agrees to Pay $600 Million to Settle Charges that it illegally Promoted the Use of BOTOX
It is well known that Botox injections have been used in areas of the face and body that have not been approved by the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA).   The FDA has warned that the botulinum toxin that is contained in BOTOX treatments for cosmetic use is potentially life-threatening.  In fact, last year, the agency required all botulinum toxins to "carry “black box” labels warning that the drug can spread from the injection site, with the potential to cause difficulties breathing or swallowing."
VOURAY Serum XL is designed to achieved a botox-like effect on facial lines and wrinkles, without the use of toxins, and without the accompanying possible dangerous side effects.  Serum XL contains Argireline, a peptide solution, derived from natural amino acids, which diminishes the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles by relaxing the facial muscles.  BOTOX, on the other hand, relies on botulinum toxins to paralyze the facial muscles.
VOURAY Skin Care recommends Serum XL, a safe alternative to BOTOX.
